Melt Dark Matter Eyeshadow Stack Review

Okay, so we weren't going to get the Melt Cosmetics eye shadow stacks but we actually got both. This was for two reasons. 1) We wanted to be able to review them for you guys and see if they're all that and a bag of chips. 2) We needed those tiny Melt keychains desperately! Onto the review! So on the swatches Melt did in their videos it was always with fingers. But who applies their eye makeup with a finger? So we did our "Dark Matter" swatches with a brush. Definitely different color payoff than when applied with your finger. The texture is nice and soft but I did need a couple of swipes to get the swatches this opague. Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion was used. The packaging is really cute and takes up very little space at my vanity which is nice when you're a makeup collector. I really see the eye shadows getting the same response as the lipsticks.. And that is that some people LOVE them and some people hate them.

Packaging
 5
Completely obsessed with the magnet stacks and play with them constantly.
Scent
N/A
 Not applicable.
Application
The Dark Matter stack consists of all matte shadows, which I found applied dryer and chalkier than the shimmery shades of the Lovesick stack.
Pigmentation
4.5
These have pretty great color payoff for being so soft and dry, but do take more swipes than expected.
Comfort
 Nothing uncomfy about them.
Longevity
 Very long lasting.
Dupability (Originality)
The colors themselves aren't too different, but the packaging is one of a kind.

Overall Score: 4.6
