Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Lipstick Review

Okay guys, we tried Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics' line of lipsticks ($10 each) recently so you know we had to share our thoughts! Our first impression was that the packaging of these is insanely adorable (black and white polka dot boxes). You know how much we love cute packaging, so instead of overusing the phrase "super cute" I'm just going to move right along. These smell deliciously like candy. I cannot for the life of me pinpoint WHAT kind of candy so if you have tried these and KNOW what that scent is, let me know! It's driving me crazy! Anyway, all of their lipsticks are super creamy and slightly sheer but for the most part they are buildable. I DO think that the colors shown here work SO much better for this creamy formula than the crazy colors (which are shown below). We've compiled a mini list of colors we think you NEED.

So, what shades do you NEED? Sugar Daddy, Don't Tell, Vengeance, Foreplay, and Troublemaker or Denial (these two are super similar).

Packaging
4
Simple black tubes that have the brand logo on them. I love that these come in cute black boxes with white polka dots.
Scent
I actually really like this scent. It smells like delicious candy- something like smarties or candy necklaces.
Application
Some darker colors apply streakier than others. I would have liked to see more of the shades perform how Don't Tell does.
Pigmentation
The concept for these was supposed to be that they are sheer, but buildable to a high-pigment finish. With some colors, yes. However, I considered leaving a few shades unswatched as they didn't even show up on the skin.
Comfort
These are very smooth and comfortable.
Longevity
Not very long lasting. They are similar to a MAC lustre in this category.
Dupability (Originality)
Yes, these colors are pretty original. However, some of the lighter colors are dupes for MAC lustre lipsticks.

Overall Score: 3.3
